PREHISTORY OF TODAY'S EVENTS
At first in 2015, PODAVACH developed the U-Loader to help Ukrainian troops at the front lines. That year, the Russian invasion threatened the independence of our homeland. Ukrainian forces managed to stop their expansion by the cost of eastern border areas.
In truth, armed conflicts with so-called separatists (which are basically Russian-sponsored mercenaries) have been taking place in this region for the past eight years. It’s exhausting the economics of Ukraine and taking many lives of our citizens who are trying to protect the sovereign of the state. But right now, the menace of full-power invasion has appeared again.
CURRENT SITUATION
Right now, all the news media are focused on the situation on the eastern Ukrainian borders. The reason is simple: in recent months, Russia has been increasing its military presence in the region, on land, and at sea, raising fears of an invasion. The United States and EU are watching reports of Russian troop movements on Ukraine's border with increasing concern, as Russia is mobilizing new units to these areas. It’s the largest concentration of forces near the Ukraine border since 2014.
WHY CURRENT SITUATION IN UKRAINE SHOULD CONCERN EVERY PERSON?
The possibility of the invasion is obviously fighting and crucial for the people of Ukraine. But actually, it should concern everyone. If it becomes normal for powerful countries to threaten their neighbors, it would affect how people worldwide feel and behave.
Like the domino effect, a Russian full-scale invasion into Ukraine with further occupation can turn into a series of subsequent conflicts with other states, that fulfill the Kremlin ambitions of becoming “like the good old times” militarized superstate. Today its prey is Ukraine. Tomorrow it will be other European countries, and the day after tomorrow – a permanent chance of confrontation with the USA.
